Instructor: John Greenwell
May 21 and 23rd, 6-9PM

Event Description:
Join us for a two-day/6-hour workshop that explores how native clay can be sourced and processed to create a beautiful throwing medium. Learn about various locally sourced clay bodies, why they exist here and how they can be refined to suit modern day kiln firing standards. Targeted for potters with foundational wheel-throwing skills (a minimum of two 8-week courses or equivalent experience is required) you’ll leave with a newfound appreciation of local clay along with a thrown flower pot and plate made entirely of local clay.
