OWNER / OPERATOR
Yvonne and her husband Mark Watts returned ‘home’ to PEI in 2020, to enjoy a more quiet life after spending over 3 decades pursuing busy careers in Toronto. Despite still operating a commercial photography operation in Ontario, Yvonne quickly learned that ‘slowing down’ in PEI was not yet in the cards. She enrolled in Robert McMillan’s pottery studio soon afterwards, where she dove deep into her love for pottery. Visits to the studio highlighted her week and, when that studio was destroyed to fire in 2022, like many others, Yvonne was determined to someday return to the wheel. As a result The Alley Street Clay Club was born! She dedicates this passion project to anyone who has ever longed to make mud pies in the early days of Spring, to form sandcastles on Summer’s sunniest days or to build snowmen from freshly fallen snow. She looks forward to welcoming those who share her passion to create pottery in a space that elevates the soul and inspires the imagination!
